欢迎收看《每日语法》栏目,我是卡维。
And I'm Lucija. I think I'm hungry. I had little to eat for breakfast this morning. Little or a little?
我是露西佳,我感觉有点儿饿了,今天早餐吃得很少。是little还是a little呢?
I have a little to eat. No, wait a minutes. What's the difference?
我吃得很少。等等,他们之间有什么区别?
Well, let's find out.
那么,让我们来探讨一下。
Little and a little are both adjectives that describe the amount of something.
little和a little都是用来形容某事物的量的形容词,
Little and a little are ONLY used with NONCOUNT nouns.
且仅用于修饰不可数名词,
Numbers cannot be used to describe these nouns.
这些名词不能用数字修饰,
They look similar, but the article "A" in "a little" makes a big difference in the meaning.
他们看起来相似,但是冠词a使他们两者的意思相差很大。
Ah, yes. I heard about that! If you use "a little," you are usually expressing a positive idea. For example,
啊,是的。我听说过!如果你用a little,通常是在表达正面的想法,例如:
I have a little money. Let's have some ice cream.
我有点儿钱,我们去吃冰激凌吧。

If you just say "little," you are probably expressing a negative idea.
如果你用little,你可能在带有消极的意味,例如:
I have little money. I should stay home.
我没多少钱,还是呆在家里吧。
Here's another example:
再举个例子,例如:
I had little to eat for breakfast.
我早餐没吃什么。
In other words, "I'm hungry." But I had a little to eat for breakfast. focuses on a positive idea.
换句话说就是“我饿了”,但是如果你说:早餐我吃了点东西。这句话集中表达正面的想法,
In other words, "I ate some food this morning."
换句话说就是“今天早上我吃了点东西。”
The same logic can be applied to "FEW" and "A FEW."
few和a few也是一样,
The only difference is "FEW" and "A FEW" are only used with COUNT nouns.
唯一不同的就是few和a few仅用来修饰可数名词。
We hope you learned a few tips today.
希望今天你有学到一些小窍门。
Unfortunately, we have little time left. But I still have a little money! We can get some ice cream!
不幸的是,所剩时间不多了;但我还有点钱,我们可以去吃冰激凌。
Sounds great! And that's Everyday Grammar.
听起来很棒!以上就是今天节目的全部内容。
