Samsung Electronics is recalling about 2.8m washing machines in the US over injury risk caused by a top lid detachment.

Samsung has received 733 reports of excessive vibration or the top detaching from the chassis, which resulted in nine injuries, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
