Beijing will hold the Olympic Games in 2008. When the news came on July 13th, people both in Beijing and in other cities became too excited to sleep.

北京将在2008年举办奥林匹克运动会，7月13日消息传来，北京和其他城市的人民都兴奋地无法入睡，

They gathered in squares and held celebrations. At the same time, people in Beijing realized that it will not be easy to hold the Olympic Games. Many foreign visitors, reporters and sportsmen will come to Beijing at that time.

他们自动涌到城市广场，举行庆祝活动。同时，北京人也意识到举办奥林匹克运动会并非一件容易的事。届时，许多外国访问者、记者、运动员将来北京。

More and more preparation should be done. We have also found many people, both young and old, are learning to speak English. As high-school students in Beijing, we will do more for the Beijing Olympic Games. As for myself, my plan is to study English hard and to be a volunteer to teach English in the community center.

越来越多的准备工作要做。我们还发现周围许多人正在学习英语，无论老幼。作为北京的中学生，我们要为奥林匹克运动会多做贡献。至于我本人，我的计划是努力学习英语，自愿到社区中心教英语。
