China's success in the manned Shenzhou-12 mission has been hailed around the world.
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson congratulated China and says he looks forward to the scientific discoveries to come.
The European Space Agency also tweeted its congratulations on the launch of the three astronauts.
Meanwhile, in an interview with Al Jazeera, space expert Jonti Horner from Australia's University of Southern Queensland says the advances are "incredible."
The astronauts of China's Shenzhou-12 mission have delivered messages back to the Earth from the core module of the country's new space station.
"The crew has entered our home in space, the Tianhe core module. Our gratitude goes to the people across the country for your support and also to technicians who have made hard efforts for this mission. We salute you all!"
Nie Haisheng, Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo will live in the core module for three months and conduct scientific research.
All seven people trapped in a coal mine in Shanxi Province have been rescued.
The mine in Linxian County experienced a roof collapse two days earlier.

Canada is recommending that citizens who received a first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine get a Pfizer or Moderna jab for their second shot.
