Lesson 13 Dialogue Last-Minute Decision on a Business Trip
Brian: Mr. Smith, are you busy at the moment?
Todd: A little, but not to worry. What's up?
Brian: Rich Thornton from SMA Securities just called me. They have been having problems with their system. It doesn't seem to be very compatible with their browsers.
Todd: Is it something we need to act on right away?
Brian: Most definitely. To be frank, I think you should let me fly out to Seattle to act right on it. You don't want to lose SMA Securities, right?
Todd: Yeah, can you put it all down in an e-mail and send it to me right away?
Also, I need you to send me the travel expense report that you haven't submitted yet after the last business trip to Tokyo.
Mindy from the Finance Department has been asking me for it. They need to file it away before they start to work on the monthly closing.
Brian: Yes, I am well aware of that. I've just been snowed under with work for the whole week. I think some of the receipts might not be available, but I will make sure to get it done by 5 p.m.
Todd: Sounds good. Back to SMA Securities - don't forget to explain what the most pressing issues are and how we can solve them right away.
Brian: Sure, sir. I'll get that across to you in a jiffy! Thanks.
