Isaiah Austin was born in Fresno, California, the oldest of the three

The first time he took the ball down the court, he dribbled between his legs at four years old

And people are like “who is that?” I'm like “I had no idea he could even do that”

Just growing up you know I've always been, a lover of the game

By middle school Isaiah was already six foot seven, and big time college coaches knew his name

But a setback in his last middle game at age fourteen forced Isaiah to re-evaluate his dream
但他十四岁时，初中最后一场比赛里，一场意外让以赛亚不得不重新审视自己的梦想了
We were playing one of our rival schools, and I just dunked it and I remember just coming down
我们和一个宿敌学校对阵，我挑起扣篮，记得当时正在下落
It was like a, a red curtain over my eye
然后，突然我眼前，就像一块红布盖过来一样
Isaiah had suffered a detached retina, aggravating a prior baseball injury
以赛亚的症状是视网膜脱落，和他之前在打棒球时伤的是同一只眼，情况也由此恶化了
He would never again see out of his right eye, and he feared he'd never again play the game he loved
他的右眼完全丧失视力，再也看不见了，而他最害怕的是再也不能打他心爱的篮球了
