Geoff:
And it's going to be a traditional wedding, isn't it?
LISA:
Yes,We're going to have it in our local church.
GEOFF:
And what about the reception?
LISA:
Oh... we're intending to have an informal reception.
GEOFF:
How many people will there be now,Lisa? Thirty? Forty?
LISA:
Um... there are going to be about forty-five, Geoff.
GEOFF:
Ah,quite a big wedding.
LISA:
Yes... I'm afraid so! And we're planning on having the reception at my parents' place - in the garden.

Dialogue 3

You're getting married on Saturday. Right?
SCOTT:
Yes,The wedding's at 3 o'clock.

PART 3 - The Lesson
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

1. TENTATIVE PLANS
MIGHT (IT MIGHT BE)
It might be a good idea to wait till November.
I'd like to have the wedding in the spring.
- Yes,it might be nice.
I WAS THINKING (OF)
I was thinking it might be a nice idea to have a barbecue.
When should we have the meeting?
- I was thinking of having an outside reception.
"I was thinking ... then I spoke to you ... now I may change my opinion".

2 MORE DEFINITE PLANS

BE GOING TO
We're going to have a traditional wedding.
注意: be going to 比intend 和plan 更肯定一些.

3. FINALIZED PLANS
We're having the reception in the garden.
(Present Continuous Tense)

The wedding's at 3 o'clock.
(Simple Present Tense)

There'll be 40 guests.
(Future Tense)

I'm eeing Peter tomorrow night.
We're going to the pictures.
I'll meet you at the station.
I'll see you tonight.

PART 4 - Background Material
