Miss Ruanjian is now working under my immediate supervision in the Engineering Department of the Heavy-duty Equipment Co, Ltd. Ruanjian has proved to be of invaluable assistance in adapting our international corporate operating system to clear the hurdles of relatively undeveloped Chinese market conditions.

One of Ruanjian’s greatest contributions is in the adaptation and modification of our integrated IBC (Industrial Boiler Control) software. The rigidity of the program structure had often led to complications in our relations with our clients. She was able to work with both the program and with our clients to smooth points of friction and eventually satisfy our clients. Subsequently, she has succeeded in adapting our program to avoid such further instances. She learns from mistakes and quickly takes steps to avoid them in the future.

At this water plant, she has consistently demonstrated a keen mind and impeccable work ethics. She started working as my assistant when I was conducting research on the application of the fiber filtering technology to the treatment of drinking water, which is traditionally treated with sodium silicate. My research represented the first attempt at applying the fiber filtering technology outside the realm of industrial wastewater treatment.

Ms. Du stopped at nothing in her effort to learn. She quickly learned to operate all the equipment and devices skillfully. When the plant completed converting the old filters into fast-filters, she seized the occasion as a good opportunity for her to practice what she had learned. Assigned to test the quality of the water flowing out of the new filters, she had to do protracted data recording to find out the functioning of the new filters under different conditions. Undeterred by the monotony of the job, she discharged her duties with great patience and meticulous care.

I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of my former employee, Mr. Long Ren, for admission to your Graduate School. Mr. Long worked in our company as a technology support engineer from 1999 to 2002. He was this company’s acclaimed trouble-shooter until he left.

This letter is to recommend Mr. Chen Min for graduate study in a Canadian university. He has worked under my immediate supervision for the five years, and I have been most impressed by his performance. I can confidently testify to his leadership skills, organizational ability and strong technical background. These skills are sufficiently developed and will allow him to excel and achieve beyond the scope of reasonable expectations.

I am a professor and advisor in the Classical Linguistics at the Cultural Studies. I have known Ms. Yan Yan for three years and believe her to be a dedicated student and leader. When she recently approached me about her decision to continue her studies, I was pleased to speak on her behalf. My hope is that the insight I am able to provide will fully make clear the caliber of person that is applying to your program.

As the department head manager of Hangzhou Machinery Import & Export Corporation, Ltd., I am pleased to recommend Miss Ji Jun, an excellent worker in our department from 1993 to 1997, to your graduate program. A strongly motivated young woman, with a deep sense of purpose, Miss Ji boasts firm foundation in business economics and international trade and rich work experience. These qualifications make her an ideal candidate for a Ph.D. program in Operation management. I am confident that she has aptitude and capacity to do research in this field.

I write in my capacity as head of the Geo-technical Engineering department at TongJi University, which is one of China’s top institutions, is well respected for its geo-technical engineering course and where Miss Huang Wen was a student. I am happy to give an introduction outlining her distinguished time here, to enable you to assess her suitability for acceptance to your graduate school.

As the director of Jilin TV’s China News Department, I have happily written this letter to further support Mr. Xiao Pengyou’s application for acceptance to the Fellowship program at your University. Mr. Xiao, the journalist of China News and the most promising news anchor in our department, exhibits the maturity and dedication imperative for selection into this prestigious program. I first became acquainted with him in 1996 when he joined our TV station. Thus, I feel that I can evaluate him very well in terms of personality and professional performance.

As Professor of the Beijing Institute of Technology, I am writing to recommend Mr. Jiao for admission to your Ph.D program. I got to know Mr. Jiao in 1998 when I began to supervise his postgraduate study in Telecommunications in our University. Intelligent and hardworking, Mr. Jiao has always maintained a top position in his studies.

I taught Mr. Che Ku Automation Principles, where he left me with a deep impression of his intellect, devotion and passion for the subject. I enjoyed many interactions with him, not only as one of my students, but also as the representative in charge of studies for his class. Mr. Fang demonstrated a sound understanding of Mechatronics, grasping the gist of ideas quickly, and adeptly applying them in real situation.

The issue of de-listing in the Chinese stock market was a popular subject for graduation theses. But Miss Zheng Juan took an entirely original angle by undertaking a systematic comparative analysis of international de-listing mechanisms. Through sedulous study of the foreign stock exchanges, she established a model system for de-listing in the Chinese stock market, supporting it with first-rate qualitative and quantitative analysis as well as sophisticated regression models. Her exceptional gift for mathematics was evident in this section of the thesis. Miss Zheng’s paper was impeccably researched, and her excellent English had enabled her to make full use of a wide range of English-language sources. The Evaluation Committee was greatly impressed, and awarded her the highest grade.

His talents for writing intelligent and informative economic literature paid off when several of his articles were published in leading economic magazines of the country. This was an outstanding achievement for such a young student and it emphasized to me that his potential to become a competent and leading economist was greater than I first thought.

Based on his obvious competence and his natural curiosity, I asked him to join my research group as my assistant. Mr. Xu Xin is a very responsible person, and is very devoted to the science he is studying. The diligence and care with which he performs his work is matched by his enthusiasm. Although at first his technical skills needed some improvement, he very quickly mastered the skills he needed to conduct the research thoroughly and meticulously. Now he can manipulate every instrument very well, and he has developed the ability to conduct some research work independently. After this first, very positive experience as a member of my research group I have since asked him to join my group many times. Xu Xin is currently doing research work for me, and I am optimistic about our ability to work together.

In graduate school, he further strengthened his research ability. In 1999, Mr. Yu and a team of researchers took charge of a project on the interference cancellation multi-users receiver. He came up with the original idea of combining the interference cancellation with the pilot-aided coherent demodulation method. This idea was tested successfully for its robustness through calculation and through simulation in COSSAP. Once again, Mr. Yu’s talent and creativity shined through when he participated in a joint project with several other labs to design our own WCDMA system from the ground up. My lab was responsible for building the receiver of base station. In recognition of his ability to research, I assigned him to design and test the receiver of RACH, a crucial subsystem of the project. He demonstrated his high proficiency in his ability to use English literature. Finally, he presented me with yet another excellent product within three months.

One of Mr. Gao Fen most notable features was his strength in mathematics. However complex the problem he had to deal with, he faultlessly applied the correct formulae, and systematically solved the question. This stood him in good stead for studying Finance, and helped him to achieve the outstanding results of A for my courseas well as Accounting, the highest grade from amongst the class of over 60 students, half of which failed. These achievements together distinguished him as one of the most promising students in my department.

I often remind my students of the importance of mathematics as a quantitative analytical tool. I advise them to learn Mathematics well. Certainly, not all the students follow my advice; much less earn high scores in tests. But Miss Cui Wei stands out in her talent and hard work in the subject. She got an average score of 90% in the calculus tests, which was top three in her class.

Mr. Shi has been a consummate professional throughout his time at the news agency. He is an outstanding photographer whose work has been repeatedly honored both by the news agency and other Chinese news organizations.. He is also a highly capable writer and editor. At Chinese Journalists, he was responsible for all photographic columns. His bold and vigorous editing and selection were a major asset to the magazine, and he was soon handpicked for the responsibility to run a new publication, The Professional Photographers

Mr. Zhou showed his skill at winning contracts when he was assigned the job as assistant of logistics officer. In order to procure, handle, control and transport quality products and services, he conducted an extensive investigation into the needs of the clients and the sales strategies of our competition. He saw that firsthand ordering might generate an incredibly reduced price. Furthermore, he showed that our expanded service network could offer the retailers a service that was much faster and more efficient than the competition. Because of this, even if they offered a lower price the customers would still be attracted by our superior service. As he foresaw, the customers were won over by his argument and we won the contracts from the competition. Because of his major contributions to the company he was soon promoted to logistics officer, a significant advancement for someone who has only been with the company for one and a half years.

When it comes to the English language, Mr. Tao should have no problems making the leap from study in China to that in the States. To help my research at points when I was extremely busy, he made translations of documents for me, which was easy to follow. His oral English is also of a satisfactory standard to convey her opinions clearly on any subject.

Mr. Li has an incredible aptitude for studying foreign languages. When he was sent to Japan for training, he diligently applied himself to studying the language. His hard work paid off and within a short time he was communicating on a fluent level. Indeed, he was one of the few Chinese technicians who were able to attend training without a translator. His teachers often commented both on the high quality of his work and his ability to express himself in Japanese. The same enthusiasm and attention to detail that made him an outstanding engineer fueled him language success.

Miss Tong is an excellent team player, and a natural leader. She can cooperate effectively with all members of her team, and knows how to identify and utilize everyone’s special talents. Her positive, open style of working ensures buy-in from all participants, and creates an atmosphere where everyone is committed to achieving the same goal.

In our line of work, we always keep a sharp eye out for potential smugglers and officers who are likely to fall prey to corruption. Among our officers, Mr. Wu has proven to be one of those who are just, upright and above board in his dealings with others. Six months earlier, he queried an applicant on his documents, only to be threatened and later bribed with an envelope full of cash. While a lesser officer might have given in to fear or the temptation of money, Mr. Wu remained resolute. I felt very proud of him as my officer.

Probably key to his teaching success is his approach of giving as much information as students needed through his lectures. I attended these lectures myself, and found them entertaining as well as informative. His ability to convey complicated data accurately but in an attractive way would probably make him a highly effective communicator. His interpersonal skills secured him another post in a famous accounting school, where his strong work ethic and presentation skills made him very useful as an example to other staff.

Mr. Fan Jun’s teaching ability is natural, his courses are outstanding, and his students are sparked with interest. He brings a lively atmosphere to class resulting in his pupils’ full attention and participation. Take for instance one of his classes, “Media Theory and Practice”. Despite the course’s complexity, the design and organization he brings encourages student comprehension and practice, manifesting theory into reality. Not surprisingly, the demand for the course has always exceeded the allowed space.

As a cheerful and friendly member of her class, she was well liked and respected by her peers. Her optimism and motivation were infectious amongst those she worked with, lifting their spirits and morale. Now well grounded in the theories of economics and proficient in English, I believe she represents an extraordinary candidate for your program. I trust her academic excellence, spirit of devotion and pleasant personality warrant your serious consideration of her application. Should there be any way in which I can be of further assistance in your deliberations, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

In addition to his academic success, he is a cheerful and cooperative character, who will,in my opinion, adapt quickly to your academic environment and swiftly become an active member of your student body. Judging by what I have seen of Mr. Niu, I believe he is now well prepared to undertake graduate studies at your university. I have rarely come across someone with such vast potential as Mr. Niu. I trust his combination of thorough education, practical experience and passion for his field, will warrant your serious consideration of his application. Should there be any way in which I can be of further assistance in your deliberations, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.

In summary, I have seen many of Miss Xuan’s achievements in China. What she lacks here, however, is access to new theories, research methods and advanced technological know-how. I fully support her decision to pursue graduate studies in the U.S. and I believe this decision to study abroad will lead to new academic horizons and a broader vision for Miss Zhao. I would appreciate it if you would give her your favorable consideration.

In class, she was an active participant, often raising incisive questions and providing solutions to problems. We often discussed new and more efficient solutions to a problem. Always actively participating in class, asking perceptive and challenging questions

Very often I find her reading concentratedly in the library with books or English periodicals in his hands.

I first noticed Mr. Xie in 1999, when I gave a lecture to students majoring in microelectronics. At the end of the presentation Mr. Xie approached me and asked several perceptive and challenging questions, which demonstrated his vast background knowledge and swift grasp of the ideas I had expounded

As his advisor, I was immediately impressed by his enthusiasm and diligence towards his studies. Several times I would telephone him before seven in the morning, only to find his dormitory mates sleepily answering that he had left for his studies.

In my numerous years of teaching experience rarely have I seen as talented or dedicated a student as Mr. Liu. I consider him my own source of inspiration.

The first to arrive and the last to leave, she took pride in making sure that everything was in order and well maintained.

He would often sit within the first few rows, frequently raising questions and clarifying concepts that were unclear to him/I first became acquainted with Mr.Wang at my lecture, where he sat in the first row and impressed me with his full concentration and enthusiastic participation in class discussions

To broaden his intellectual horizons, he has often asked me to introduce books and journals for him to read. Actually, he had borrowed so many books from my personal collection that he left quite a large part of my bookcase empty.
