In English conversation, we often add the verb "go" to other verbs.

The structure is "go" plus verb.

And we use the base form of the verb - he shortest form with no -s ending.

Using "go" doesn't affect the meaning of what we are saying.

It simply makes our speech sound more natural and less formal.

If I had said: it's almost time for me to meet my friends, for example,

it would have sounded fine but a little less conversational.
