Work as a Part of Life

Some people regard work as the goal of lifeand spare no pains to pursue a fulfilling career. Others regard work as a meansto achieve the value of life, emphasizing the meaning and significance of lifeitself. I think work is just a part of one's life. To work means to live, andto live must involves work.

First, when one works, he also lives. Thereis not a period of time when one is only working but not living. Therefore whenone works hard and feels happy about his achievements, he is also livingfruitfully. There is no need to say that he just "lives to work".Second, it is impossible to imagine a life without work. Marx once said thatwork is the basic need of the human race. Work is not only a breadwinningprocess, but is also a process of exploring the unknown world, creating beauty,providing help, expressing love, friendshipand care.
