A Chinese zoo has its own new celebrity in the form of an adorable six-month-old monkey as zookeepers insist her mohican-like hairstyle makes her look exactly like David Beckham.

中国一家动物园有了一位新名人了，是一只六个月大的，可爱极了的猴子，因为动物管理员坚持让它留莫希干式的发型，这让她看起来像极了大卫贝克汉姆。
Tourists are now flocking to the Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo to see the Beckham look-a-like macaque.

游客们现茌都涌向南京红山森林动物园，去看那只长相酷似贝克汉姆的猕猴。

Zookeepers have found the resemblance so uncanny that they have even named the little monkey after the football star's daughter, according to the People's Daily Online.
据人民日报网说，动物饲养员发现这一相似之处是那么的不可思议，所以他们用那位足球明星的女儿的名字，来为这只小猴子命名。
David Beckham and the six-month-old macaque look so similar that zoo-keepers have named her in honour of his daughter, Harper Seven.

The macaque has been named 'Xiao Qi' - meaning 'Little Seven' - as Beckham's daughter Harper Seven is known in China.

'She had a lot of hair but the sides were very short which looked a lot like Beckham's hairstyle,' said Chen Yuanyuan, the zoo-keeper who looks after Xiao Qi.

'Because it is a female we named her after his daughter.'

But zookeepers quickly stepped in to care for the baby monkey and are delighted that she is now healthy enough to be able to live independently.

Chen Yuanyuan said that the newborn monkey faced her first big hurdle in October last year when her mother left her to fend for herself.

According to the keepers, it is quite common for a primate mother to abandon her baby.But in Xiao Qi's case they suspect that it was because the mother had no milk to give her.
据饲养员表示，在灵长类动物中，"弃仔"的现象较为多见。但在小七的案例中，他们怀疑，小七的母亲是因为奶水不足，才抛弃她的。
Xiao Qi was put into an incubator as soon as she arrived at the zoo because she was so small and had a very low body temperature.

小七一到动物园就被放进了保温箱，因为她实在太小了，而且体温也非常低。

But after just two or three months she had become much healthier.

但是才过了两三个月，她就变得健康了许多。
Keeper Yuanyuan added: 'When she first arrived here her head looked very big because her body was so small.

But because she was abandoned, Xiao Qi may never be accepted into an existing groupand keepers may have to continue to raise her individually

Xiao Qi has now grown out of the 'infant period' and has started to have contact with the outside world, but she may still lead a solitary life.

'Crab-eating macaques are social animals and live in groups,' added the keeper.
