Shinhwa was SM Entertainment's premiere boy band after experimenting with their formula with H.O.T.. The band made up of members Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee debuted on March 24, 1998.

神话是SM公司（韩国第一大综合娱乐及媒体集团）早期在试验性推出组合H.O.T.一举成功之后再度推出的又一男子组合。神话组合成立于1998年3月24日，一共有六名成员，分别是Eric Mun，Lee Min-woo，Kim Dong-wan， Shin Hye-sung，Junjin，Andy Lee。

Shinhwa was able to work their way to the top of the charts in the early 2000s and were well on their way to Kpop domination when the all-to-fatal 5 year mark struck in 2003. The group stuck together although they did leave SM, and signed with Good Entertainment with which they stayed with for several years. Now they have established Shinhwa Company on July 1, 2011. Hence Shinhwa became the first pop group as a substantial shareholder, president of their own company in the Korean music industry history. Company runs by leader Eric as of now, however, after release of Min-woo from Korean mandatory military service, Min-woo and Eric will be co-representative to lead the entire activities expected to take in the Shinhwa Company.

在其出道初期，神话组合逐步成为了韩国顶尖的男子组合之一，在2003年其与SM公司五年签约期满之际，神话组合集体离开了SM公司，转签Good Entertainment，并成功拿回了神话这一名字的使用权及歌曲版权，成为成功脱离SM并能完整保留下来的的偶像组合的范例。2011年7月1日，他们成立了属于自己的神话公司。至此，神话成为韩国音乐界首个拥有自行控股的公司的音乐组合，目前该公司由队长Eric负责运营，不过，在Min-woo服完韩国兵役之后，神话公司的全部活动将由Min-woo和Eric共同来分担。

The latest group effort of Shinhwa occurred in 2008 to celebrate their 10th anniversary and 9th album for the year 2008 marked the beginning of the members entering into the military to perform their two years of service (except for Hye-sung who was exempt due to a bad knee). Shinhwa's comeback in March 2012, which coincides with Min-woo's release from the military, will mark the group's 14th year together. To celebrate, they are planning to release their 10th album, will be actively promoting the album on the various show, and are planning a concert tour of Asia.

上一次神话集体活动是在2008年庆祝其成立10周年和第9张专辑的发布，就在这一年，该组合的各成员分别入伍，履行为期两年的兵役（Hye-sung因其膝盖的旧伤而免除兵役）。2012年3月，随着其成员Min-woo的退役，神话组合也将全面回归，共同庆祝他们的14周年。为此，神话正在筹备发行其第10张专辑，并积极在各大放送节目中推介其新辑，同时也将计划开展他们的亚洲巡演。

Shinhwa has changed musical styles many times throughout their existence, beginning with typical bubblegum pop songs (as seen with their song Eusha, Eusha) like other pop singers at the time. They also did regular pop songs as well, with the release of their 4th album Hey, Come On!. It was in the release of their 7th album, Brand New, that Shinhwa had made a transition into dance songs. With the release of their 8th album, State Of The Art, Shinhwa can still be seen having dance songs as well as, though their hit song, Once In A Lifetime, shows a more slow pop style. While Shinhwa is known best as artists who do dance songs, the members have branch out to do various styles. Min-woo's first album show him as an R&B singer, though his first hit song, Just One Night, is more of a jazz genre. Hye-sung have branch out to do ballads song, as ballads are becoming popular throughout South Korea.

神话的曲风并不固定，初期他们推出的是当时颇为流行的泡泡糖摇滚乐（如歌曲《Eusha, Eusha》），在第四张专辑《Hey, Come on!》中，他们也推出了不少常规的流行乐。发布七辑《Brand New》时，神话转而开始制作舞曲。而在其八辑《State Of The Art》的制作中，神话延续了其舞曲风格，不过其主打歌《Once In A Lifetime》呈现的却又是一种更为舒缓的流行乐风。虽然神话作为组合以其舞曲最为有名，但是其成员的创作能力却并不局限于此。Min-woo在其首张个人专辑中所呈现给歌迷的就是R&B歌手的一面，不过他的首支主打歌《Just One Night》听上去更偏向于爵士。Hye-sung的个人创作则多为叙事歌谣风格，在韩国民谣曲风正日趋流行。

Like most popular bands, Shinhwa has change their appearances various times. In their early days, Shinhwa were generally marketed as a typical boy band with cute looks and matching outfits. They later transitioned this "cute" image concept into a more darker tone with the release of their second and third albums, bleaching their hair and wearing dark make up. Their outfits also matched their appearances, being either shiny or dark. With the release of their fourth album, Shinhwa would change from the Gothic style of before into a much more simple and cleaner look. Their fifth album would change them into a more preppy style. Shinhwa would continue this preppy style into their sixth album, though it was obvious that they were beginning to mature their looks. When they released their seventh album, Shinhwa began to change their appearance once again, wearing black suits and looking significantly more sophisticated than most boy bands at the time. They also stopped with the dyeing hair and heavy make up, as well as leaving their hair shaggy and long. Shinhwa's eighth album continued their sophisticated look, with the group wearing black suits for most of their performances. For their 9th album, Shinhwa's new look was displayed in their MV Run, in which they describe it to be "Mexican Mafia".

正如许多流行乐队一样，神话的造型也是在不断变化着的。刚出道的时候，神话呈现在人们面前的是一个非常典型的男孩乐队，有着可爱的外表和与之相配的包装。随后，这一可爱的形象在其二辑和三辑中渐渐变幻成一种更黑暗的调调，漂染了头发，采用的是黑暗系的化妆手法，其服装也配合整体形象发生了变化，或是闪闪发亮，或是一色黑暗。在四辑中，神话一改之前的哥特风，铅华洗净，看上去简单干净。五辑的神话则偏显学院风，这一形象一直延续到了他们的第六张专辑，此时的神话已经渐渐变得成熟。而七辑的神话又换上了新的形象，黑色西装，看上去要比同期的其他男子组合要老练许多。他们不再漂染头发，也不再化过浓的妆容，更不再把头发留长弄出蓬松的样子。神话在八辑中依然展现出老练的样子，整个组合在大部分的表演中都选择黑色西装作为着装。九辑的神话再度让人耳目一新，在其名为《Run》的MV中，他们扮成了墨西哥飞车帮的样子出场。

So what will be presented to us on March when they come back? Indeed, I could hardly wait to see it.

所以，待到三月，神话回归，他们又会为歌迷呈上怎样的舞台呢？说实话，我已经等不及想要看一看了。
