Dolly the Dolphin
海豚多莉
Dolly the Dolphin lived and played in the open sea until one day she was chased by some humans in boats.
海豚多莉在野外生活玩耍，直到有一天她被船上的一些人给抓住了。
Trying to escape, Dolly was caught in a net.
多莉被抓进一张网里，她试图逃脱。
The humans dragged the nets in, lifting Dolly onto the boat and putting her into a shallow tank of water.
人们把渔网给拽进来，将多莉抬到船上并把她放进浅水箱中。
After that, she was taken to a bigger tank on land.
之后，多莉被换到岸上一个更大的水槽里。
There was nothing except water in the tank: nothing to eat, nobody to play with, nothing to do and nowhere to go.
水槽中除了水，什么都没有：没有吃的、没人陪她玩、无事可做，也无处可逃。
Sometimes a human came and threw a fish towards her. When Dolly jumped up from the water to catch it,
有时有人过来，扔给她一条鱼。当多莉从水里跳起来接这条鱼时，
the human would throw her another fish, followed by a ball.
人类会给再给她一条鱼，跟着是一个球。
When Dolly jumped, hitting the ball back to the human, she was given another fish.
当多莉跳起来，将这个球击还给人类时，她会被奖励另一条鱼。
Soon after that, Dolly was moved to a bigger tank where she met some other dolphins. These dolphins knew a lot of tricks.
此后很快，多莉被换到了另个更大的水槽中，在那里她遇到了一些其他的海豚。这些海豚知道很多把戏。
They even knew how to jump up from the water and walk on their tail fins. Before long, Dolly had been taught how to do that too.
他们甚至知道如何从水中跳起，然后用自己的尾鳍行走。不久后，多莉也被教会做这些。
It wasn't a bad life. They were given fish if they did what the trainer wanted.
生活不算太坏。如果他们做到了训练员想要的，就能有鱼吃。
Dolly had almost got used to the tank when she was moved again,

but this time some humans took her back to the sea, near where she had been caught.
但是这一次，一些人将她放回了大海，就在她被抓地方的附近。
Of course nobody can really tell whether dolphins are happy, since they always look as if they're laughing, but Dolly seemed really delighted.
当然，没人能够辨别海豚是否快乐，因为他们看上去总是在笑，但是多莉看起来真的很开心。
She dived and played around the boat before swimming away.
她潜入海底，在游走之前，在船只周围嬉戏。
A week later, when her rescuers returned to the same place, they saw a group of six dolphins walking on their tails and laughing all over their faces.
一周后，当她地救援人员再次回到同一个地方时，他们看见一组六只海豚用尾鳍行走，脸上满是笑意。
