近日，广西壮族自治区一名艾滋病病毒携带者因强奸15岁女童被判刑5年，这一判决引发社会关注。

9月25日，广西河池市都安县法院对47岁的都安人袁某雷作出判决（announced the verdict）。
判决书显示，2020年5月12日，袁某雷强行与15岁女孩蓝某发生关系。经鉴定，蓝某患有轻度精神发育迟滞（suffering from mental retardation），被性侵害时缺乏自我防卫能力（lacked the ability to defend herself）。
许多网友认为，该案被告人具有性侵轻度精神发育迟滞的未成年少女、明知自己患艾滋病（definitely knew of his contagious disease）仍实施强奸（conduct the act of rape）等恶劣情节，“结果才判5年，明显太轻了（the current punishment was too light）。”
当地有关部门表示，袁某雷自动投案，如实供述罪行（confessed to his crime），并自愿接受处罚（volunteered to receive the penalty）。
河池市中级人民法院已对此案展开司法审查（judicial review），并表示将很快公布审查结果。
