Sometimes we use noises rather than words to hesitate. Such hesitation varies from one language to another. In English, the sound 'en' or 'er' is used to hesitate. But if we overuse these sounds, we can sound very opposite to fluent.
如果是经常听老外讲话的人应该会留意到,他们在讲话的时候有时候说"er",或者是拖长某些音,这样做的目的其实就是为自己赢得思考下面该说什么的时间。因此我们在说英语的时候,也可以应用这些技巧。

These words don't have any meaning in themselves but they are very useful to make yourself sound more fluent and confident.

这些词有时候本身不具有任何意义,但是如果使用正确,是很有帮助的,为你在交流中赢得思考的时间,并且听起来也很地道。

But if you use them too much, you can actually sound very irritating.
大家要注意的是,如果你过度使用这些词,就会让人觉得很厌烦。

如果用I think...来表达自己的看法,但还不确定自己要具体说什么,就可以拖长最后一个音。
