哦！森林底养子，
太空的血胤
不知名的野鸟儿啊！　
　
黑缎底头帕，
密黄的羽衣 ，
镶着赤铜底喙爪──
啊！一只鲜明的火镞，
那样癫狂地射放，
射翻了肃静的天宇哦！　
　
像一块雕镂的水晶，
艺术纵未完成，
却永映着上天底光彩──
这样便是他吐出的
那阕雅健的音乐呀！
啊！希腊式的雅健！

野心的鸟儿啊！　　
我知道你喉咙里的
太丰富的歌儿
快要喳死你了：
但是从容些吐着！

吐出那水晶的谐音，
造成艺术之宫，
让一个失路的灵魂
早安了家罢！

Ah! Adopted child of the forest,
Descendant from space,
You, a wild bird of unknown name!

Turbaned in black brocade,
Feathery clothes, honey-colored,
Inlain with copper beak and claws—
A bright dart of fire,
Shooting forth in made ecstasy,
Shatters the sky of serenity!

Like a carved crystal,
Though its art is not yet complete,
Perpetually reflecting the colors and lights in the sky—
This is how his graceful and spirited music is made!
As graceful and spirited as the Greek!

Ambitious bird!
I know the overly rich songs
Are choking you
In your throat.
But do sing them slowly,

Releasing those crystalline notes of yours
To build a palace of art,
Offering a home
To a lost soul.
