洞庭木落楚天高，眉黛猩红涴战袍。
泽畔有人吟不得，秋波渺渺失离骚。

Under a high and southern sky the leaves fall by the lake;
Eyebrow-colour and rouge now stain the warriors’ robes.
The wanderer by the water’s edge may no longer chant his songs;
Amid the endless autumn waves Elegy is lost.
