President Xi Jinping says the public health protection network in China needs to be strengthened.
He made the remarks at the annual national legislative session.

The decision comes as Brazil records the second highest number of coronavirus cases behind the U.S.
The administration says the president has suspended the entry of foreigners who have been in Brazil during the 14-day period before seeking admittance to the United States.
It says the action will ensure foreign nationals who have been in Brazil do not become a source of additional infection.
It adds that the suspension does not apply to the flow of commerce between the two countries.
