The city of Wuhan has decided to conduct nucleic acid tests on all local residents in the coming 10 days.
The decision came after six new infections were reported over the weekend in the former epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak in China.
These were the first new confirmed coronavirus cases reported in Hubei province in over a month.
Chinese health authorities say no new domestically transmitted COVID-19 cases were reported on the Chinese mainland on Monday.
One imported case was reported in Inner Mongolia.
