Well the Beijing section of a high-speed rail line linking the capital and Xiong’an new area is expected to open in September 2019. The passenger line will cross Beijing’s new airport in Dashing district which is also expected to open in September. Work on the Beijing section began in late December 2016. It will have a designated speed of 250 km/h and take only 20 minutes from Beijing's urban districts to the new airport. The section from the new airport to Xiong’an will be put into operation by the end of 2020. Now the new area established in April 2017 is new economic zone about 100 kilometers southwest of Beijing in Hebei. It is the third new area of national significance after the Shenzhen special economic zone and the Shanghai Pudong new area.
