Thousands of Australians living with type one diabetes will soon be given access to wearable glucose monitors, reducing the need for finger-prick blood tests. Health minister Greg Hunt announced a $100 million funding package to give pregnant women, children and more adults access to the free tests. The government says it could save patients up to $7,000 a year.
