China is once again urging India to withdraw immediately its troops cross the border into Chinese territory. The Chinese Foreign Minister issued this statement following reports India is preparing for a protracted standoff in China's Doklam district while seeking what they called a diplomatic solution.
How can we find a diplomatic solution if the Indian side is preparing for long standoff. As we have repeatedly emphasized we urge India to withdraw its troops immediately. And this is a precondition of any practical contact and dialogue.
We have a clear and open information channel with each other but we hope the Indian side can take concrete action and practical efforts. The current situation is India is violating a basic principle of international relations as well as the international order and is damaging the peace and stability in a boundary area. So we urge India to withdraw its troops back to its side immediately.
