China says it's not proper for the G7 agenda to deviate its focus from international hotspots and be hijacked by a certain nation. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang urged the G7 to heed its international role.
中方称七国集团外长会议日程不应偏离国际时事热点的重心而被某一单一国家所绑架。中国外交部长发言人陆慷敦促七国集团负起应担的责任。

"The so-called issues created or fabricated by some nations will not change the main demand of regional nations for peace, development and stability. The Group of Seven, if it still wants to play an important role in the international community, should adopt a matter-of-fact attitude by focusing on and dealing with the most prominent issues in the world. If the G7 agenda is hijacked by the sole interest of a certain nation, I think it will not be conducive to the development and future role of the Group," he said.
“由某些国家捏造出来的所谓的问题不会改变各国追求地区和平、发展和稳定的立场。七国集团如果仍想在国际社会上维持其重要地位，就应该采取实事求是的态度，聚焦全球最紧急重要的问题。如果七国集团外长会议完全被某一单一国家的利益所绑架，那么我认为这将不利于七国集团的未来发展及其影响力。”
