OK, equation number one: Hard work plus bravery equals success.

However you define success, set your sights high. Be a hard grader on yourself.

When I started in money management, I knew that there were people who add a lot more experience and a lot more knowledge.

And the one thing I knew I can do is outwork them. And I actually did.

If I didn't understand something, I'd ask questions.

If I didn't know how to do something, I'd ask to learn.

Most people don't want to admit what they don't know. I do.

I see nothing wrong with that. I think it's actually smarter.

So, don't pretend that you know more than you do.
