Linda: Did she like it? Did she love it?

Alex: I don't know. She may dislike it.

Linda: I doubt that. You write good reports. When did you give it to her?

Alex: I gave it to her at noon, just before lunch.

Alex: Or maybe she did look at it, and she hates it.

Linda: Don't be worried, Alex. I think she will talk to you soon.

Alex: I hope so. I can't stand waiting much longer.
