Tethys consists of three main components,

Rao named her device Tethys after the Greek Goddess of Fresh Water

and says it takes just a few seconds to determine whether the water is safe.

What you do is first dip a disposable cartridge which can easily be removed and attached to the core device in the water you wish to test.

Once you do that, that's basically the whole manual part, then you just pull out an app on your phone and check your status

It took her five months to make Tethys from start to finish.

My first couple of times when I was doing my experimentation and tests, I did fail so many time and it was frustrating
